Dr. Lucy Haurisa earned her MD title in Germany in 2004 and her specialist title in Ear Nose & Throat Medicine/Head-Neck Surgery (ENT) at the renowned University Medical Centre Hannover in Germany in 2010.  

During her study and after graduation she chose to work in UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam. 

She also earned a Master of Science in Public Health in Developing Countries at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine 2011. 

Since 2013 she joined our team as a part-time consultant for general and ENT specialist consultations and small procedures.  

ENT is a relatively young specialty with less than a handful of foreign trained specialists in the whole country. She therefore helps to close an ENT medical service gap as the demand for specialty care in Cambodia is increasing. 

Most patients come seek advise and treatment for acute and chronic conditions of the outer/middle or inner ear, nose and sinus, throat, voice and neck disorders. She covers functional conditions like speech and voice disorders, difficulties swallowing or those related to the senses such as the different types of hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo; lack of smelling. 

Proper management of chronic conditions can substantially improve life quality and avoid unnecessary procedures. 

ENT covers a range of conditions that often require close collaboration with related specialties like Gastroenterology, Neurology, Pediatric, Maxillofacial Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, etc in order to ensure a medical problem is solved in the most effective way. 

Another great passion lies in the evaluation of diet and lifestyle factors of different medical conditions. This and her general varied background and brings a holistic approach to the prevention and management of general and specifically ENT related conditions within our team. 

Dr Lucy’s services are sought after by national and international patients and she was also appointed as cooperating doctor of the German Embassy in Cambodia 2018.
